In order to make it as easy as possible on donors, there are a number of ways to give.
As a 501(c)3 charitable organization, all donations to the Remann Hall Book Club are tax deductible, and a tax letter will be provided for donations.
If you would like to support the Book Club, you may donate through PayPal (simply click the DONATE button below):
Checks may be mailed to:
Remann Hall Book Club
5501 6th Avenue
Tacoma, WA 98406
If you sell used books to King’s, you can instruct them to credit the proceeds to the book club account. The proceeds are then used to purchase new books for our readers.
Of course we appreciate receiving book donations. There are only two court-imposed restrictions on the type of books we can accept for our readers in detention: they must be paperback – no hard covers allowed, and the book must not address suicide.
Book donations may be dropped off at Remann Hall’s administrative offices at 5501 Sixth Avenue, Tacoma, WA. The entrance is directly across the parking lot from the flag pole.
Little Free Library
The reading culture at Remann Hall extends beyond detention. We sponsor a Little Free Library at the entrance to the courthouse. The bottom shelf is typically reserved for books for little readers who may stop by to celebrate their adoption has been finalized.
Visit casakids-pierce.org and learn about “A Book for Me,” their wonderful program which provides a new age-appropriate book to each child who enters the program. Books for programs other than book club may be hardcover or softcover, new or gently used.
A very simple way to support Remann Hall Book Club is to visit and shop on Amazon either by clicking here or by visiting our Books page and clicking on any one of the links there. Nothing you buy will cost you a penny extra, but the Book Club will get a little bit of money for anything you buy from Amazon if you come to the site through one of the links. How easy is that? It’s a win-win!
Spread the Word
However you choose to give, we thank you for helping us change lives through the magic of books.
